Shooters Sports Bar in Madison Indiana

Open for lunch, dinner, and late evenings 7 days a week.

In early 2010, Roger’s Corner was remodeled and became a new eatery called “Shooter’s Sports Bar.” Many residents were disappointed to see the classic soda fountain close, but the success of the new resurgent is undeniable.

It’s become my favorite place downtown for classic burgers. An average meal will cost $10 without drinks. The menu is simple, but has enough variety for everyone. You’ll find salads, soups, specialty sandwiches, and dozens of appetizers.

For a light lunch, I’ll often have their Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken.  It’s topped with cranberries, almonds, and feta cheese.

When your hungry, you can go wrong with any of the burgers. One of my new favorites is their fried pickles. Not to mention their French Onion soup.

Address: Shooters Restaurant, 101 E Main St. Madison, Ind.

Hours: Sun-Thurs 11am-10pm, Fri-Sat 11am-12am

Parking: This can be a problem, your safest bet is to use the city parking lot on Main Street a few blocks to the West (across from the Comfort Station).

Bathrooms: Clean and functional, a little nicer than average.

Bottom Line: Shooter’s is the best place in town to catch a game on TV or enjoy a casual evening with friends. If you’ve been to this restaurant, please leave a comment below to share your thoughts.

Shooter’s is located at 101 E Main St. on the corner of West St.

The atmosphere is what you might expect from a Sports Bar. The lighting is dim, except for the large open windows at the storefront. The walls are covered with at least a dozen flat panel televisions. The servers are friendly and quick with your order.

Shooter’s has about 15 tables and additional seating at the bar.

Dozens of mounted TVs stream a variety of sports.

The double bar seats about 16 people and has a large selection.

  1. Worst service on main street Madison. The wait staff acts like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Been there 3 times, but no more.

  2. Turners says:

Only go to Shooters if you want to wait over an hour for food….been twice and was very disappointed. The only time you get good service is when you drink.

    • Scott says:

I disagree, I go in almost 3 times a week, and never once was the service poor. It has always been great, and all I ever drink is water:-)
