Harry’s Stone Grill on the Madison Hilltop

Sometimes we forget the hilltop district of Madison offers some unique local restaurants. Harry’s Stone Grill offers casual dining in a lodge like atmosphere.

The first thing you’ll notice is the crazy number of taxidermy mounts. Seriously, the animal heads outnumber the staff 10 to 1. This alone gives the Steakhouse a rustic lodge feeling, even if you are next door to Madison High School.

The menu includes steaks, pasta, seafood, burgers, and salads. You’ll be served hot rolls while you wait. They also have a separate bar and patio for live entertainment.

This restaurant occupies the building that was once Cabana Joe’s.

Most entrees are under $15, unless you want steak which will cost more. View some of the pictures below to get a better idea of cost. Visit the official website for a complete menu but without prices.

Bottom Line: Good food, interesting atmosphere, and helpful service. Much needed dinning option for Madison people.

Was there earlier today. Service was horrible. Took 45 minutes to get food and they weren’t even busy. Got part of order wrong two times. Food was only warm when it arrive. There were three of us and wasn’t charged for order that was wrong and Bill was still over $45.00. This was our third visit but will not ever go back.
