Surprise! Christmas came early in Hanover, Indiana.
The new Pizza Hut is officially open for delivery & carryout. We’ve been watching their progress over the last few weeks, but didn’t expect the new restaurant to open until after the New Year.
Sometimes it feels good to be wrong.
I stopped in tonight just after 9PM. It was opening day, but the store was exceptionally clean and well organized. They have the full Pizza Hut menu including various pizza, sides, wings, and pasta. The staff on duty were friendly, even when I started snapping random pictures of their store. A few minutes later, I was walking away with some boneless chicken wings.
The owners are also the franchisee who operate Pizza Hut on Madison’s hilltop. From the investment they’ve made, I would give this new venture a good chance at success.
Will this hurt Jendy’s the local pizzeria in Hanover? Only time will tell, but our guess is this will mainly edge out Papa John’s delivery business in Hanover. Residents of Hanover are happy to have more choices, but Noble Roman’s in the Circle K never really took off. Hanover College students will certainly have a new phone number to memorize. We’d love to hear your thoughts below in the comment section.
A dinning room is still in the works, so this could become a great place to watch college basketball in a few months.
Fingers crossed for a few large screen TVs.
